Contrasts Seating

Made-to-order highly textured seating composed of handwoven seagrass cord on a solid ash frame. The frame is carefully torch blackened and oiled to give a deep colour and  textured finish. The round, through tenon joinery draws influence from Irish vernacular furniture while the overall forms evokes a striking contemporary feeling. The two tones of seagrass cord are woven into a highly tactile and comfortable seat which rewards close attention.
